I am an insatiable creative with a busy mind that is easily distracted by interesting - but mostly unnecessary - ideas.
My work has an industrial pop-art flavour and explores themes of Australian history, politics and religion along with plenty of nods to random cultural nonsense like Star Wars, Mad Max, comic books and Chiko Rolls.
I like to transform everyday items, ask questions about identity, challenge our icons and generally make a lurid mess with paint, latex and cardboard boxes.
After peaking in HSC Art and being selected for ARTEXPRESS in 1994, I built a 20 year career in broadcast media as a presenter, producer and journalist before getting back on the paintbrushes to help deal with burnout, depression and ADD.
Over the last decade I have refined my practice and have exhibited my work across NSW in various exhibitions and competitions, including three solo exhibitions at galleries in Wagga Wagga.
In addition to painting, sculpting and some rudimentary printmaking, I make dangerous looking props for theater and television and continue to work full-time as a journalist and television producer.
